\n International Restrictions:
\n *All travellers: All individuals 5 years old or older travelling to Venezuela must present either of the following at port of origin:
\n\u2022 proof of COVID-19 vaccination you may use your COVID Pass.
\n\u2022 a negative COVID-19 PCR-RT test performed within 72 hours of arrival
\nFor a proof of COVID-19 vaccination to be considered valid, at least 14 calendar days must have passed since your last vaccine dose of a complete vaccination scheme (for both 2-dose or 1-dose vaccines). If more than 270 days have passed since your last dose of a complete vaccination scheme, proof of a vaccine booster is required.
\nYou should not use the testing service to get a test in order to facilitate your travel to another country. You should arrange to take a private test.
\n*If you\u2019re fully vaccinated: If you\u2019re fully vaccinated you must comply with the rules set out above.
\nProof of vaccination statusProof of COVID-19 vaccination is required for check-in at port of origin. Individuals who are not fully vaccinated may use, alternatively, a negative COVID-19 PCR-RT test performed within 72 hours of arrival as a substitute for proof of vaccination. Please note that proof of vaccination might be required to allow entry to some indoor venues such as restaurants and cafes. You may use your COVID Pass in electronic or PDF form, or provide your vaccination card for this purpose.
\n*If you\u2019re not fully vaccinated\nIndividuals who are not fully vaccinated may use, alternatively, a negative COVID-19 PCR-RT test performed within 72 hours of arrival as a substitute for proof of vaccination.\nIf you\u2019ve had COVID-19 in the past year: Having recovered from COVID-19 does not exempt travellers from the standard entry rules set out by local authorities. Please make sure to comply with the entry rules set out above.
\n*Children and young people: Children 5 years old and older must comply with local COVID-19 standard entry requirements as set out above.
\n*If you\u2019re transiting through Venezuela: Transiting through Venezuela on your way to other country is permitted for travellers as long as they comply with the mandatory standard COVID-19 entry requirements set out above.Travellers should also make sure their passport is valid for entry and transit in Venezuela. For further information about transiting through Venezuela please contact your airline or tour operator.
\n*Exemptions: Local authorities have not set out any exemptions to the above stated standard COVID-19 entry requirements for Venezuela.

\nInternal Restrictions:
\n*Travel in Venezuela: Authorities have announced social/community-wide quarantine and bans on inter-state travel with roadblocks in place. Inter-state travel requires a special permit or \u201csalvoconducto\u201d to be issued by the respective regional REDI or ZODI authorities.
\nPassengers located in the Caracas (Distrito Capital) area with confirmed travel itineraries are allowed to reach the airport in Maiquetia (La Guaira) without any special permit. Movement to the airport via land from other states require a \u201csalvoconducto\u201d in advance of travel. There are no domestic flights to Maiquetia operating until further notice.
\nThe use of face covering is mandatory at all times, including when travelling via land in private vehicles.
\nCertain municipalities might be under stricter lockdown than others depending on the number of COVID-19 infections reported. Stay informed through local media reports and follow the advice of local authorities.
\n*Accommodation: Most hotels are open and able to receive guests. Private accommodation rental remains possible, although with reduced availability.
\nSome hotels may require guests to be COVID-19 tested before allowing them to check-in into their premises, please confirm any specific requirements in advance.
\nPublic places and services: Social/community-wide quarantine and bans on inter-state travel with roadblocks are in place since 16 March.
\nLocal authorities have recently moved on to an alternating lockdown/flexible scheme where during a \u201cflexible week\u201d certain specific economic sectors are allowed to operate limited hours; on a \u201clockdown week\u201d only essential businesses and medical services remain operational. Schools and universities remain closed until further notice.
\nPublic gatherings are prohibited and people have been instructed to wear face covering at all times when outside.
\nThe supply of fuel is severely limited.
