\nInternational Restrictions:
\n * Entry to North Macedonia from 1 September: From 1 September, people aged 18 and over, entering North Macedonia will need to present either:\n\u2022 a full vaccination certificate, or
\n\u2022 a negative PCR test made in the 72 hours before entering the country, or
\n\u2022 a certificate of recovery from COVID-19 in the last 45 days, counting from the day of recovery
\nCitizens of North Macedonia and foreign nationals entering the country without a COVID-19 vaccination certificate, PCR test, or certificate of recovery from COVID-19 will be required to quarantine at home for seven days.
\nForeign nationals transiting through the country will be able to do so within 5 hours with a previously signed statement of entry into the country which they will have to submit before the border control at the exit from the country.
\nTo enter Skopje International Airport (including for a departing flight), people aged 18 and over are required to provide proof of vaccination with at least one dose, or a certificate showing you have recovered from COVID-19 within the past 45 days, or a negative PCR test made in the previous 72 hours, or rapid antigen test in the previous 48 hours.
\nDemonstrating your COVID-19 vaccination status: Your appointment card from vaccination centres is not designed to be used as proof of vaccination and should not be used to demonstrate your vaccine status.
\n*Border crossings: All land border crossings in North Macedonia are open for movement of passengers and vehicles. However neighbouring countries may have different entry and exit restrictions on their side of the border. You should check before travelling.
\nCitizens of North Macedonia and foreign nationals entering the country without a COVID-19 vaccination certificate, PCR test, or certificate of recovery from COVID-19 will be required to quarantine at home for seven days.
\nSome border crossings in neighbouring countries are still closed or subject to entry requirements. It is your responsibility to ensure that you can enter the next country on your journey. \n

\n Internal Restrictions:
\n*Travel in North Macedonia: Public transport and taxi services are permitted to operate in North Macedonia. Protective face coverings must be worn when travelling on public transport.\n*Public spaces and services:x*Wearing of protective face coverings is no longer required in indoor spaces, although there is still a requirement to wear masks in hospitals, pharmacies and on public transport.
\nEvents are allowed in indoor areas and outdoor areas subject to restrictions on capacity and in line with COVID-19 measures and protocols.
\n*Rules on self-isolation: If you have not developed coronavirus symptoms but have tested positive for coronavirus after taking a laboratory confirmed test (i.e. a PCR test or rapid antigen test), you must self-isolate at home for seven days from the day of testing. After the end of the self- isolation period, you must then, for an additional three days, strictly observe personal protection measures (such as wearing protective face covering, frequent disinfection of hands and avoiding groups of people) when indoors, and also outdoors when social distancing is not possible.\nIf you have developed coronavirus symptoms and have tested positive for coronavirus after taking a laboratory confirmed test, you must self-isolate at home for seven days from the day of testing plus three consecutive days if you have no fever.
\nIf you have come into close contact with a person who has been confirmed to have COVID-19 you do not have to self-isolate but must strictly observe personal protection measures including the wearing of a mask in indoor spaces for seven days. You are exempt from the above home self-isolation rules if you meet the following criteria:
\n\u2022 Vaccinated with COVID-19 vaccine with two or three doses, and not more than six months have passed since the last dose;
\n\u2022 Passed with COVID-19, and the positive test is not older than six months;
\n\u2022 The persons who are close contacts, and who due to the fulfilment of the above criteria are excluded from self-isolation / quarantine, must comply with the measures for personal protection within a period of 10 days from the last contact with the confirmed case.
