\nInternal Restrictions:
\n*Travel in Portugal: You should follow the advice of the Portuguese authorities on how best to protect yourself and others, including any measures that they bring in to control the virus.
\nSome safety precautions are still in force:
\n\u2022 keep a social distance
\n\u2022 use a face mask in the circumstances described below
\n\u2022 wash your hands frequently
\n*Public spaces and services:
\nMainland Portugal: Most restrictions have been lifted, but you will still need to use a face covering on entry to medical facilities, retirement and nursing homes. This requirement does not apply to children aged 9 and under.
\nThe Portuguese health authority also recommends that you use a face mask at airports, railway stations and transport hubs, on public transport, including taxis, and when travelling by air.
\nMadeira and Porto Santo: Madeira is in a state of alert. Some restrictions remain in force including the requirement to self-isolate for 5 days if you test positive for COVID-19 and the requirement to wear a face covering in the following circumstances: on entry to medical facilities and services including pharmacies; up to the 10th day from the onset of symptoms or a positive test result if you have had COVID and are no longer isolating. These measures apply to everyone aged 6 and over.
\nKeep up-to-date with the restrictions in force in Madeira and Porto Santo on the Madeira Islands official website.\nThe Azores: The archipelago of the Azores is in a state of alert.
\nSome restrictions remain in force, including the need to:
\n\u2022 self-isolate for 5 days if you test positive for COVID-19\n\u2022 use a face covering on entry to medical facilities, retirement and nursing homes. This measure does not apply to children aged 10 and under.\n\u2022 show a negative COVID-19 test on entry to healthcare facilities in the form of a PCR test taken in the previous 72 hours, or a rapid antigen test taken in the previous 48 hours and certified by a healthcare professional\nThis requirement does not apply to children aged 12 and under or those who have a COVID-19 recovery certificate. Keep up-to-date with the restrictions in place on the regional government\u2019s website.\nFace coverings: You should wear your face covering, as appropriate, when you enter buildings and keep it on until you leave.You can be fined if you breach the regulations.\nYou may be exempt from using a face mask both indoors and out on medical grounds. You will have to show a declaration from your doctor as evidence that you have a health condition that prevents you from wearing a face covering.
