\nInternational Restrictions:
\n*All travellers: The requirements for entering Qatar can be found on the Ministry of Public Health website< /a>, along with full details of Qatar\u2019s travel and return policy.
\nMandatory Visitors\u2019 Health Insurance policy: Health insurance is now mandatory for all visitors entering Qatar. Prior to travelling, you must purchase an insurance policy from a registered Ministry of Public Health insurance provider. A
list of registered insurance providers can be found on the Ministry of Public Health website. \nThe standard insurance premium is QAR50 per person, per month. More information can be found on the Ministry of Public Health website. \nCOVID-19: Visitors and residents entering from all countries other than China are not currently required to take a pre-departure PCR or Rapid Antigen test before travelling to Qatar.
\nAll travellers (Qatar citizens, residents and visitors) regardless of vaccination status, entering Qatar from China are required to submit a negative PCR test result within 48 hours from the time of departure.
\nYou will not be required to pre-register on the Ehteraz health application prior to arrival. However, entry into all public and private healthcare facilities still requires you to present the healthcare status on the Ehteraz app. Visitors may wish to download the Ehteraz app and activate it on arrival in the event they should require access to healthcare facilities. Changes to Qatar\u2019s entry requirements do occur, please continue to check the Ministry of Public Health website for updates.\nYou may be required to pass through thermal screening or temperature checks on arrival into Qatar at air, land or seaports.
\n*If you are fully vaccinated: Entry requirements for Qatar are the same for all travellers, regardless of COVID-19 vaccination status.
\n*If you are not fully vaccinated: Entry requirements for Qatar are the same for all travellers, regardless of COVID-19 vaccination status.
\n*Children and young people: Entry requirements for Qatar are the same for all travellers aged 6 and above, regardless of COVID-19 vaccination status. Minors age 0-5 years are exempt from testing requirements.
\n*Residents: Foreigner holding a Qatar residence permit no longer require prior approval to return to Qatar.\n*If you\u2019re transiting through Qatar: Transiting is when you pass through one country on the way to your final destination.
\nTransiting through Qatar is permitted for travellers who meet the requirements of their final destination country.
\nThere are no additional requirements for transiting passengers, even if you choose to use the transit hotel within the airport.
\nTravellers cannot remain in the transit area for more than 24 hours between flights, regardless of whether you are using the transit hotel within the airport.

\n Internal Restrictions:
\n *Travel in Qatar: Qatar\u2019s Ministry of Public Health has published advice on how to limit the spread of coronavirus, and has introduced a number of precautionary restrictions on travel and events in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
\nPublic transport, including the metro and bus services, are currently operating at full capacity. You should wear a mask at all times when using these services. These guidelines and regulations change frequently with little warning. For the most current information regarding COVID-19 regulations visit the Ministry of Public Health website.\nWith effect from 21 May 2022 the requirement to wear a facemask has been relaxed. It is no longer a requirement to wear a mask except when travelling on public transport or visiting healthcare facilities.
\nIt is compulsory to have Qatar\u2019s contact tracing app, Ehteraz, downloaded and working on your smartphone whenever you leave the house. Anyone violating these could incur a fine of up to QAR200,000 and/or a prison sentence not exceeding three years.

\n*Public places and services: There are currently no limits on the number of people at social gatherings. These guidelines and regulations change frequently with little warning. You will be asked to show your vaccinated status on the Ehteraz app to enter most locations. If you are unvaccinated, entry may be denied.
\nPlaygrounds and exercise equipment in public spaces have been reopened. Mosques are open but worshippers are reminded to follow the guidance on general prevention measures. Entry may be dependent on presenting evidence that you are fully vaccinated. From 30 January 2022 schools have returned to in-person lessons.
